Managed the successful development and implementation of a multi-million dollar re-engineer of effort of a member and provider web portal. The development team leveraged IBM Portal, IBM WCM, WAS, RAD and JAVA on a ZLinux platform. The team consisted of 20 developers and the project was 18 months in duration.Assembled and managed a team to design and develop JAVA web services. The Middleware team was the conduit to mainframe data for all web, mobile and intranet applications. The team leveraged IBM Datapower, SOA Express, WTX and JAVA.

Designed and initiated Development Life Cycle processes for a $60 million region including requirements, design, coding, testing and implementation to ensure quality projects. Led the re-architecture of the application to a data-driven, low fault, centralized application. Lowered the cost of processing by 30%. Led the upgrading of the technology infrastructure including the implementation of a mirrored SANS, load balanced web servers and clustered SQL servers. Implemented a test environment and testing procedures that included testing scripts, promotion processes and coding policies that ensured quality products. Interfaced directly with customer senior executives to communicate status of projects and negotiate contracts. Development team consisted of 8 programmers. Database design included 160+ tables and over 20 GB of data. Design followed object oriented techniques using Java, JSP, Visual Basic 6.0, Oracle 8 and XML. Led the design, development and implementation of a $4 million multi-national health risk assessment system. Project followed a Systems Development Life Cycle and was completed ahead of schedule and under budget. Development team consisted of 12 programmers in Michigan, California and Brisbane, Australia. Design followed object oriented techniques and was completely data-driven. Leveraged the following technologies: Java, JSP, Visual Basic 6.0, Oracle 8I and XML.Led the design, development and implementation of $2 million web enabled membership project. Project followed a Systems Development Life Cycle and was completed on time and within budget. Development team consisted of 6 programmers. Design followed object oriented techniques using Java, JSP, XML and IBM Web Sphere.Led the design, development and implementation of the membership portion of a $400 million HIPAA system redesign. The infrastructure included the design and implementation of an Enterprise Service Bus (ESB) using Vitria ESB, Java Connectors and MQ Series. Architected the Connectors and MQ server configurations. Team consisted of 20 developers. Project followed a Systems Development Life Cycle and all milestones were completed on time. Leveraging the following technologies: Facets, XML. IIS and Visual C++.
