As an intern for both strategic development and competitive intelligence, I was responsible for analyzing the gaming industry in order to identify trends to help ensure successful initiatives for the company. Analyzing the gaming industry included research of the market and its participants, the use of relevant metrics to support claims, and daily updates of a comprehensive competitive intelligence report used to follow competitor movements.

As a sales associate, I gained valuable customer service skills by directing customers to products. I supported four supervisors, all of whom trusted me with the responsibility of independently operating the sales floor. Each day consisted of maintaining a busy sales floor, merchandising store products, and assisting customers with product queries. Unfortunately, the branch at my location closed in October 2014.

Each day I was tasked with providing support to full-time employees ranging from basic clerical duties to constructive functions such as creating operative spreadsheets on Microsoft Excel. I collaborated with other interns to help implement and maintain a new database regarding state employee positions. In addition, I aided in the compilation of the department's annual Gender & Minority Report. Finally, I helped administer several Civil Service Exams.
