Is that a minimum-shift keyed modulated pulse?I always pictured myself as one day being a master carpenter like Norm Abram from “This Old House”. A very practical dream centered around an even more practical profession for someone who enjoys pulling things apart and reassembling them with care and precision. I have always gravitated towards building things or dissecting them in order to learn how they work, or meticulously following processes to create something from raw materials. Once the exchange of money came into the picture, my passion began to lose its luster. So now I enjoy carpentry as a hobby and feed my curiosity for how things work and what's inside with signals and intelligence analysis. So I joined the navy; lightning struck the first time I intercepted a signal, measured its characteristics and identified a new mode of operation. I was hooked like a chocoholic in the Ghirardelli chocolate factory. (I mean, how could it not be great when you know you've identified new information used by warriors on the front lines of freedom protecting our national interests.) Since then I was hungry for more. What other unusual signals are out there; what other gear is out there that's new and developmental that I can learn to use; how can I manipulate this data to improve war fighting systems to protect the men and women wearing the cloth of our nation?I love writing technical reports and enjoy long term in depth analysis. It allows me to practice mindfulness, requires intense attention to detail, and is just downright cool knowing I have used multi-million dollar proprietary software which displays data in abstract displays, make sense of it, and know that the data is being used by combatant commanders and top government decision makers. It's so fire!I am process driven and linear minded. I see tasks through to the end while developing operating procedures used for teach back and learning. Experienced with many program of record signals analysis and data manipulation systems software and hardware, spectrum analyzers, oscilloscopes. I am proficient technical report writing, databases searches and manipulation along with numerous others programs and databases unique to the Department of Defense (DoD). Enthusiastically pursues opportunities to learn new and developing systems. I am 44 credits away from a Bachelor of Science degree in Data Science and Analytics, while actively looking for the next woodworking project to challenge and expand my skills.
