Changing/implementing a system has a lot of impact on your organization. Making an overview about the functionalities you need and checking other systems to see if they offer that is very time consuming. Then - once you found one – you can run into lots of questions about other systems you have interfaces with and you find yourself overloaded with information. If you signed a contract with a new supplier and you require developments afterwards the cost for this might be surprisingly high.Changing systems takes a lot of effort and - once implemented - you should feel good about it and you should be able to state clearly what exactly it has brought you!

Benelux, France & Uk

In this period I have setup a 24/7 support organization for 53 Hotels, 1400 devices and 1800 users in 5 countries with the aim to gather all questions errors and requests for changes and follow up on them.We work with a team of 5 specialists for POS/PMS/CRS support & LAN support and maintenance.For outsourced IT services like; printing, wireless services & credit card payment services we work with selected partners and contracted service level agreements.

Holland, Belgium, Germany, Austria, Switserland, Hungary & Rumania

In this period we installed a 'home made' Property Management System with a team of 20 to 30 people almost 100 hotels in Holland, Belgium, Germany, Austria, Switserland, Hungary & Rumania in order to manage Reservations and pricing for all Hotels in a Centralized Reservation System.The project included training for more then 1000 employees over 8 locations in advance. Support on site when going live and continuous evaluation of performance from where new or improved functionalities were suggested, programmed, tested, trained and implemented.

Amsterdam Area, Netherlands

As Director of Operations I was responsible for The Reception & Porters, Housekeeping and the Food & Beverage departments. In this period we trained all staff on upselling skills (with a direct result of over 200.000 guilder extra revenue in the first year!) and implemented a quality control team.Next to this I trained new managers in Golden Tulip Hotels on using the Property Management System and acted as interim General Manager for Golden Tulip in Nieuwvliet Bad for 4 months.

Hoofddorp

As Rooms Division Manager I was responsible for Reception & Porters/Drivers as well as Housekeeping. In this period Golden Tulip also bought Hotels in Zandvoort, Purmerend and Rotterdam where I was involved in rebranding and opening.

Amsterdam Area, Netherlands

As Front Office Manager I was responsible for Reception, Concierge & Porters and Reservations all together 40 people. An important project in this period was the installation of a new Property Management System (Fidelio).
