I have over twenty years of experience managing various forms of legal, regulatory, compliance and operational risk, primarily within the financial services sector. I am currently a Director within Global Markets COO at Bank of America where I spearhead large scale regulatory change initiatives, remediation efforts for existing regulatory issues, strategic initiatives and governance routines. I collaborates closely with various business lines, senior management, Legal, Compliance, Technology and Operations to interpret regulatory requirements, develop internal solutions, prgram budgets, processes and controls to address regulations in a manner consistent with business objectives.I previously worked in the legal departments at MacAndrews & Forbes, Incorporated, a private equity holding company, and Goldman, Sachs & Co., a preeminent financial services firm. Prior to joining Goldman, Sachs & Co., I was as an associate at Davis Polk & Wardwell after serving as law clerk for the Honorable John G. Koeltl in the Southern District of New York. I bring a strategic approach to mitigate and resolve regulatory and compliance risk, counseling across industries on a wide range of issues, with a particular focus on the securities industry. I am business-oriented with a strong history of working closely, collaboratively and effectively with senior business leaders, internal and external counsel to manage operational, reputational and legal/regulatory risks, and complex commercial litigation.In addition to my broad work experience, I have a long history of exhibiting leadership and community service through pro bono work and board participation. He has served as board chair of Urban Pathways, a non-profit assisting New York City’s homeless population to achieve and sustain independence, stability and wellness. He is also a board member of the North Brooklyn Parks Alliance, a parks conservancy focused on improving local parks.
