Under the direction of the Budget and Reporting Manager and the Accounts and Tax Manager, I was responsible for day-to-day, month-end, and year-end tasks related to fixed assets. My duties included processing transactions within the fixed asset sub ledger, analysing accounts, reconciling balance sheet accounts and preparing standard and ad hoc reports.The role also involved administering and managing user access rights in SAP (GRC 10)Key tasks:Recording fixed asset acquisitions, disposals and transfers Reconciling fixed assets to the general ledger. Investigating and clearing anomalies.Controlling and analysing transactions in Work In Progress , working closely with project engineers to ensure completed assets are capitalised.Researching, verifying and creating asset addition documentation.Preparing and maintaining fixed asset audit schedules.Running monthly depreciation journals.Co-ordinating asset physical identification exercise. Creating investment orders on approved fixed commitment authorities.Consolidating investment reports for investment reporting. Providing overall fixed asset support to the Operations, Retail and Consumer departments.Tracking operational expenditure (budget vs actual).

Accountable to the Credit Controller, I was responsible for investigating and resolving receivables account balances and queries in a customer database comprised of Retail service station dealer accounts (±100 service stations), corporate consumer accounts plus individual and company fuel smart card accounts (±1,500 accounts). The position involved strong collaboration with the Marketing team.Key responsibilities:Researching and resolving customer debit balances, short payments and past due invoices. Analysing transactions in customer accounts, raising and processing approved write offs/on.Matching payments to invoices.Interfacing with retail service station dealers to provide information and resolve issues.Accruing rental and profit share income.Preparing actual rental and profit share schedules for customer invoicing.Journal entries for provision for doubtful debts (quarterly).Monthly analysis of trade debtor accounts, doubtful and litigious debtors and loans to customers.
