I managed the operation of two peer-reviewed scholarly nursing journals from receipt of copy to final publication in print and online, providing a variety of editorial, design, production, and strategic management services. I ensured that business objectives were met and adhered to established budgets. I led a remote team of six editorial staff members, served as a liaison to contracted editors and ad sales, and was the primary point of contact for printers, USPS, and other vendors, resolving barriers to challenges thoughtfully and collaboratively. I oversaw content for the journals' Drupal-based websites, chaired an internal staff newsletter team, and coordinated content development assignments. I evaluated and recommended new vendors in addition to developing journal and distribution initiatives, and I participated in the visioning and strategic planning of the journal editorial boards. Ultimately, I ensured that the high-quality print and digital publications met the needs of the Society's members and subscribers.
