CurrentAs the head of the IT PMO at the Arizona Department of Health Services, I lead my team through a significant transition to the Enterprise Project Management Office (EPMO), expanding our responsibilities beyond IT projects to encompass a wide array of initiatives critical to the agency's mission. In this dynamic role, I play a pivotal role in driving organizational excellence and project success, collaborating with cross-functional teams and departments to meet agency-wide goals. My key responsibilities include:Strategic Program Leadership: Providing strategic leadership for a diverse portfolio of projects, programs, and initiatives spanning healthcare, public health, data management, and administrative functions.Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborating with departments across the agency to define project objectives, allocate resources, and ensure alignment with the department's mission and strategic priorities.Resource Allocation and Optimization: Overseeing resource allocation, budget management, and performance measurement to ensure optimal utilization of agency resources.Change Management: Implementing change management strategies and practices to facilitate a seamless transition to the Enterprise Project Management Office (EPMO), ensuring continuity and improved project management practices.Risk Management and Quality Assurance: Implementing robust risk management practices and quality assurance processes to enhance project delivery and reduce potential disruptions.Stakeholder Engagement: Fostering strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, facilitating effective communication, and ensuring project success.
