After high school, I joined the Air Force National Guard and worked as a Crew Chief for the 183rd Tactical Fighter Group out of Springfield Illinois where we flew F-4 and F-16 fighter jets. I had the good fortune of working as a full-time police officer while I pursued a college degree at Illinois State University. In law school, I worked as a prosecutor. Thereafter, I ook a job as a prosecutor with the Illinois Attorney General's Office Thereafter, I continued public service working as a First Assistant State's Attorney where I prosecuted some high-level criminal cases. All and all, these collective public service experiences provided me with a solid foundation for my beginnings as a seasoned criminal defense attorney.After serving several stints as a public servant, I decided to start my own law firm in Bloomington Illinois in 1996. The Firm has obtained great results over the last 20+ years throughout central Illinois and due to an ongoing demand we ultimately opened additional offices in Peoria, Springfield, and Decatur. Over the years, we have hired some of the best former prosecutors that I had done battle with and our entire group has become a reckoning force of compassionate attorneys primarily focusing in the area of criminal defense.During the last two decades, I have defended clients against a wide range of charges, including multi-million dollar fraud cases, drug cases, and murder cases. I am fortunate to have a longstanding reputation for providing top-notch legal representation that is tough and effective and having never been afraid of a challenge. I have been included in the Top 100 Lawyers in the United States by The National Trial Lawyers Association, which speaks volumes about a lawyer's abilities. In my free time, I enjoy working out and being in the great outdoors.
