Projects included print advertisements, logos, brochures, direct mailings, business cards, fitness center signage and wall-size art, children's book layout, two Pez price guides, Philadelphia and Palm Springs film festival program guides, and Web banners for personal blogs. Editing projects included the copy for my design work, book introductions/author.

I worked as a copy editor/designer for the Tribune's features sections and module creation. I've handled arts & entertainment, business, health, food, family and home content areas, and was most recently the designer for the Homes section. Previously, I helped lead a team in Chicago that produced pages for other newspapers in Tribune Co., coordinating with.

I supervised the layout of daily pages and served as the principal designer of our weekly arts and culture section. I managed a staff of five and coordinated with photo, the art and graphics department, copy editors, writers and assignment editors to create centerpieces and offlede presentations. I also worked with ad makeup to make space requests and set.

As an adjunct professor in visual journalism for three semesters, I taught juniors and seniors the basics of communicating the news, covering photography, illustration, graphics and typography, and helped them build speed and skill in QuarkXPress and Photoshop. Created course materials with real-world examples.

As a layout editor, I designed the Air & Sea Show special section, daily state, nation and world pages, and Palm Beach and Broward Local editions, with heavy zoning. I copy edited, wrote all headlines, designed and created illustrations for the Sunday opinion section. As a copy editor, I wrote display type and edited for Local and A sections.
