As a Vice President in AlixPartners’ Strategy and Analysis group, Matthew enables businesses to thrive when it matters most. He leverages his analytical skills and business expertise to deliver actionable insights to businesses.Previously, Matthew served for five years as a Federal Contracting Officer, leading cross functional procurement teams of 3-5 team members from diverse backgrounds and departments in the acquisition of highly specialized equipment, components and systems for high-rise buildings and their operating systems, professional and technical services, and a variety of supplies to support the Public Buildings Service. Matthew presented executive summaries of acquisition strategies, results, and recommendations for procedural improvements to senior executives. Matthew also served in the Illinois Army National Guard. As a Non-Commissioned Officer, Matthew led teams of soldiers in completing tasks to accomplish organizational goals. He plans and executes training for soldiers on a monthly basis. Matthew also presented his plans and results to senior executives, and makes recommendations for process improvements.Matthew had the opportunity to intern at Google while working on his MBA at Carnegie Mellon University’s Tepper School of Business. As an MBA intern with Google's Global Procurement Organization, Matthew worked with internal and external stakeholders from several Google organizations and vendors to develop environmental sustainability procurement processes to ensure that Google's facilities management vendors hire subcontractors that can properly support Google's current and future sustainability goals and initiatives while providing the best economic value to the business.
