I offer over 33 years of experience in public safety and 21 years of experience in project management, building and fire codes (state and local level), human resources management, strategic and emergency planning, and leadership development. I currently serve as the Fire Chief for a fire department of over 170 members. My responsibilities in this role include interviewing, hiring, training, supervision, benefits analysis, union negotiation, planning, and employment compliance issues (FLSA, FMLA, etc.). Our team manages and develops a budget of $29.6M and oversee the building systems and facilities maintenance of 7 fire stations. These responsibilities include creating RFP’s, reviewing bids, contract negotiation, supervising work, and more.
