Performed all short and long term maintenance planning for a variety of Caterpillar heavy mining machinery and off highway trucks under the MARC project for a number of different mine sites in the Hunter Valley. Duties included the following:-Management of maintenance schedules, using AMT Asset Management Software and Microsoft Project, required to plan and forecast preventative maintenance for a variety of Caterpillar heavy mining machinery and off highway trucks;Review of service contract agreements to ensure all maintenance undertaken is per the relevant contract;Assist in the negotiation of service contract agreements; Ordering/purchasing required parts and components, including the negotiation of costs with internal and external suppliers to ensure cost effective, efficient and timely availability;Stock management to ensure sufficient supply of parts and components for scheduled and planned maintenance;Co-ordination of component repairs and rebuilds, including acting as a liaison and information provider between workshop and mine sites; Communicate with Project Managers and Site Coordinators to evaluate capability of undertaking scheduled maintenance and provide effective solutions to any conflicting scheduling that may arise; Entry of NSW Mining SMU data into AMT Asset Management Software;Identify technical inefficiencies in maintenance technicians and provide training plan to increase knowledge base of technicians and improve overall operational efficiency; andChief Fire Warden for Mt Thorley Site.

Williamtown Raaf Base

Maintain and service F/A 18 Hornet store management, egress, fire detection systems; Maintain and service F/A 18 Hornet weapons and explosive ordnance;Subject Matter Expert on F/A 18 Hornet ALE-47 counter measure dispensing system, requiring liaising with development engineers and civilian contractors;Management of maintenance schedules to ensure preventative and predictive maintenance is scheduled and performed so the F/A 18 Hornets remain serviceable and operate at full capability;Preparation of reports detailing aircraft defects and maintenance deficiencies;Inspection and transportation of dangerous goods, explosive ordnance and compressed gases;Review and assist in the modification of technical publications used throughout the Air Force;Liaise with multiple trades and engineering departments to achieve common goals;Monitoring of F/A 18 Hornet lifing to co-ordinate scheduled servicing;Direct supervision of sub-ordinates, including management of tasks, training, evaluation and personal development;Prepare sub-ordinate quarterly performance appraisals;Workplace Approved Aerospace Assessor;Air Force safety coordinator, including enforcement of strict occupational health and safety regulations;Deliver continuation training presentations to all ranks; andRegistered Defence Equity Advisor.
