Working in a micro-services architecture with highly scalable systems built primarily in the Spring Boot ecosystem. Using Apache Camel to create real-time data pipelines and enterprise integration patterns, I helped the massive effort to migrate Nike's digital transformation into the cloud. I worked on the team that was in charge of inventory management. We worked in an agile fashion useing a traditional dev-ops model we designed, built, tested, maintained, and supported a series of cross-cutting infrastructure services that are critical to many different systems.

Lead a small team of engineers to build features out on SaaS platform that was used by large companies for managing their corporate social responsibility, giving and volunteering efforts. Platform had nearly 1 million users. Maintained and improved AWS infrastructure to reduce cost and increase reliability. Made transition into VPC. Laid groundwork and mentored team on creating an auto scaling enterprise web application to improve performance with minimal cost. Implemented process for team including SCRUM, formal code reviews, CI with automated tests, and a process for continuous delivery as well as planned releases.

I was initially responsible for maintenance of legacy Expression Engine platform during transition to new Grails platform. After architecting the business to business platform for licensing intellectual property on LAMP stack in AWS OpsWorks with Jenkins based continuous deployments, I moved into maintenance and API feature development for internal Grails application. I helped design and implement the git and Jira workflow for agile development and continuous deployment to align with business needs.

Maintained website, worked with live web streams, designed relational databases for use in Florida Supreme Court video archives. Worked with live streams as well as archived video streams. Worked with old fashioned php (no framework!) and a good bit of sys-admin type functions.

This was my first programming job, and probably my most intreguing. I worked along side a bio engineer that had created a mechanical apparatus for enclosed experiments with lab mice and had begun creating a custom GUI and software to run it using VB6. I just so happened to have experience with this and was going through my undergrad in CS, so I enthusiastically helped add many GUI improvements for inputting complex parameter data as well as outputting the results of the experiment. The most interesting thing I worked with here was the software to hardware interface. I remember learning how to flip individual bits to step motors.
