Hi, I’m the Technical Director of Flexeserve, a brand of The Alan Nuttall Partnership, and I’m responsible for all technical advancement, industry research and development of Flexeserve products. In the industry of hot food, that means reducing food waste – ideally eliminating it, optimising energy consumption and simplifying the logistics of serving hot food. Hot-holding is the key to a great deal of this.I devised, and led the development of, the world’s first heated display unit that uses hot air, the Turboserve T1, in 1997. A product ahead of its time, it would go on to receive the Queen’s Award for Enterprise - Innovation 8 years later in 2005. Flexeserve Zone, which we created as an evolution of that original Turboserve design, was released in 2013.To establish Flexeserve as the industry-leader in hot-holding, I’ve been pioneering a hot-holding standard for the industry. This has, so far, involved the creation of a unique Environmental Test Chamber at our HQ and working closely with the British Standards Institute.Flexeserve Zone, our flagship product, is the hot food-to-go solution that truly is the gamechanger for this industry.
