Driving Impactful Programs | Compliance Excellence | Grant Innovation Created an expanded program of assistance for states and communities affected by the drawdown in defense procurement after the Iraq War. Secured Congressional and Pentagon approval, developed training, aligned other relevant federal agencies, and launched first grant all within eight months.Created a $50 million grant program to support defense manufacturing communities and expand regional defense manufacturing ecosystems. Assisted in drafting legislative language, created program construct, secured DoD approval, and trained internal and other federal staff. In collaboration with Chief Technology Officer wrote back-end business processes to support this program and one other competitive program.

Strategic Program Architect | Workforce Development Innovator | Economic CatalystCreated program with national scope to assist communities responding to workforce issues resulting from decisions of the 2005 Base Realignment and Closure Commission. Served as senior advisor to leadership on all workforce related issues surrounding BRAC. Served on five separate regional economic development teams under the Workforce Innovation in Regional Economic Development (WIRED) initiative within U.S. DOL. Led one of those teams.Spearheaded the development of the Regional Innovation Grant program, a unique use of federal grant funding to assist regional economies in establishing strategic economic and talent development plans. Designed techniques and procedures to guide the deployment of regional Strategic Action Teams, the the front-line response on the part of the Employment & Training Administration to regional economic shocks. Led HQ-level response for Hurricane Katrina from 2007-2009.
