Review all vendor contracts the Port Authority enters into with third party vendors, providing insurance requirements and other terms and conditions intended to protect the interests of the Port Authority. Review and edit Requests for Proposals to hire new vendors who engage in various types of business with the Port Authority. Supervise five risk analysts handling contracts for all Port Authority facilities, including, but not limited to, all NY-NJ bridges and tunnels; Port Authority Bus Terminal; all three local airports; marine ports; toll crossings and PATH train. Evaluate limitation of liability language and indemnification clauses that could potentially limit the power of the Port Authority to recoup losses in the event of a claim. Also heavily involved in the annual insurance renewal process for both property and casualty coverage, including the management of the captive and daily interaction with our broker. Key Accomplishments: • Worked internally to establish a more effective and efficient Risk Finance process for all Port Authority stakeholders.• Created new mechanisms for Minority Firms to be better represented in bids for Port Authority contracts.• Collaborated with broker to establish new strategies for the Port Authority’s captive insurance program. • Heavily involved in major construction projects at all Port Authority’s facilities utilizing OCIP’s, CCIP’s and contractor insurance procurements.
