I was hired for this position to create a suite of reports with a sales perspective. I worked closely with the Vice President of Sales to measure bookings and billings, as well as sales forecasts and pipelines. I worked with the CFO to ensure the sales reports were relevant to the finance reports, based primarily on revenue. I created my reports in MS Excel, relying heavily on pivot tables and charts. My reports became the standard reporting structure for the executive team.I also participated in the development of sales compensation packages. Working with Sales, Finance, and Human Resources, I helped write offer letters and plan descriptions, as well as providing information to define territories and set quotas. I created the tools I used to calculate commissions monthly or quarterly and designed the statements that were distributed to the individual participants.I served on the committee to select a CRM tool, and then to implement Salesforce.com for Shavlik. Our implementation was very successful, and I transitioned to creating reports and dashboards in Salesforce. Only a small fraction of the reporting continued to be done in Excel.

My job as the Administrative Assistant to the Vice President of Sales grew into a full time position creating and maintaining bookings, billings and sales forecast reports. I worked with Finance, Sales Operations, and Human Resources as well as Sales to develop a library of reports for use across the company.I calculated sales commissions and bonuses, and helped with the development of the sales compensation packages each year.I worked closely with IT and Sales Ops to implement Salesforce.com for Secure Computing.

I provided administrative support to the Director of Production Transition at ATK, as well as the 40+ engineers in the department. Taking a product from development to production for US Federal contracts involved a great deal of timely, detailed documentation. I supported the creation of RFQ (Request for Quote) using many different software tools: modification of templates, creation of graphics, editing of text, charting progress of sections and graphics, organization of many contributors’ computer-generated documents.
