Shazam is the app that magically connects users with the world around them. In its endeavor to transform the discovery experience, Shazam partnered with industry leaders like National Cinemedia, Gimbal, Adspace Networks, and Digimarc to seamlessly provide new kinds of brand engagement to audiences outside of just the music space. As a Partnerships Manager, I oversaw the onboarding and launch of new relationships and applications for the Shazam product, supported each partner’s direct sales team with the appropriate sales trainings and marketing materials, and played an active role in creating internal and external process with the aim of scaling and strengthening each partner relationship. Continually looking to expand its offering to the Shazam user, the Partnerships team worked closely with Product and Engineering teams to enhance current products and develop new features that would assist our efforts in proactively seeking out new markets and potential partners who wanted to expand their audience’s reach and enhance engagement.

Before transitioning into a commercially-focused role, I began my journey at Shazam as an Office Manager and, shortly thereafter, took on the additional responsibilities of Executive Assistant to the Chief Revenue Officer. Along with the traditional operational responsibilities like event coordination, supplies and budget management, meeting prep, IT assistance and general office care, I was rewarded the project management duties of locating, designing, constructing and moving our then 10-person office to a space with a 75-person capacity. I spearheaded both the physical build of Shazam’s new US headquarters, while continually building and enhancing the rapidly expanding New York and Los Angeles teams’ office culture. Under the leadership of the Chief Revenue officer, I organized regularly scheduled staff events and helped plan international conferences and together we cultivated an inspiring, efficient and fun culture that helped put us on Crain's 2014 Best Places to Work list.

The infamous, old-world Waldorf Astoria teamed up with the renowned fragrance and beauty pioneer, Guerlain, to create a refined, luxurious spa experience like none other in New York. Opting for tradition and a taste of French refinement, Guerlain Spa New York offers a special experience to beauty junkies from all around the world who want a break from the new-age spa trends. Wanting to develop local awareness and expand its offering to customers both inside and outside the hotel walls, I, as Manager of Business Development, designed and implemented grassroots, as well as direct media marketing tactics to engage the immediate community and drive overall hotel guest revenue. My additional operational responsibilities focused particularly on customer retention – managing VIP reservations, tours and amenities, group sales, private events, and client service recovery.
