I am a Registered Nurse with 1+ years experience. I have experience in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit along with current experience as a clinical care nurse. My skills include, but are not limited to:- Obtains and trends vital signs, weight, and labs of patient- Care of patient wounds, nails, and foot care- Diabetes foot exams, DM education and learning- Maintaining patient charts- Knowledge of harm reduction education and medications- Performing patient care and responsibilities specific to patient’s need and hospital/clinic standard of care - Understands the need for prompt attendance of specimen collection, high alert labs, and high acuity patients- Collaborates well with hospital staff, nurses, patients, and family members to coordinate care for the patient- Provides excellent communication and education on pertinent topics to patient and their families (including phone calls and MyChart messages)I have also graduated from an accredited surgical technology college in June of 2018 that is associated with the NBSTSA. I have had exposure to almost all specialties; ENT (included navigated guided FESS), General, GYN, Orthopedics (total joints, fractures, and trauma), Robotics, Spine-Neurology (including navigation systems and O-Arm), some Thoracic, Trauma, Urology (open and cytology), and Vascular. My skills include, but are not limited to:- Preparing and organizing the operating room furniture, equipment, instrumentation, and supplies for the required surgeries - Anticipating needs of the patient and staff (surgeon, assistant, etc.)- Counts are done quickly and correctly before the patient is in the room- Proper care and labeling of specimens and medications - Able to assist with dressing of incisions- Assisting the surgeon and others during surgery in any manner within my scope of practice - Maintaining and keeping track of a sterile field through the entirety of the surgery - Help with cleaning and organization of the instruments after a surgery is completed - Help with room turnover after a surgery is completed
