CurrentBig Data Services Operations Management:- Team management: manage a global team in North America and India and collaborate with various cross teams (engineering, data engineering, 3rd party software vendors) across the globe- Project Management: Manage a diverse portfolio of big data systems related production systems and related projects such as: - AWS Opensearch/ElasticSearch - AWS Neptune (Graph DB support) - Redis - Riak key value NoSQL distributed cluster (formerly a Basho product) - Solr Lucene clusters (on premise data center setup as well as in AWS EC2 instances) - AWS S3 - Hadoop CDP (Cloudera Data Platform) with mainly HBase, Hive and Spark 2 services. - Migrated Hortonwork's HDP clusters to the CDP platform.- Cloud computing experience: Experience managing a diverse set of AWS services and 100+ EC2 instances supporting various data services layers across Dev, QA, Preprod disaster recovery and Production environments.- Manage a team of Senior DBAs to provide 24x7 support for all of the above data systems (within on-premise data centers as well as AWS)Other Skills:- Years of experience in MS SQL Server as a Senior DBA before moving to Big Data systems management.- Automation scripting (experienced in Python, Bash and Windows PowerShell/shell scripting) to support all kinds of operational/migration projects (on-premise to AWS)- Part of 24x7 oncall support team by rotation (also supporting other RDBMS's such as DB2, AWS Memsql etc.)
