Experienced cybersecurity professional that specializes in both Red Team Operations and the auditing/implementation of modern security policies in accordance to NIST and CIS Industry Framework controls.With four years of experience working with MSPs and over six years in information security, my skill set encompasses several defensive/offensive security offerings. These blue/red team engagements often focus on protecting the organization and its stakeholders via a combination of technical (Network/service segmentation, SIEM monitoring, Data Forensics, Network/Infrastructure Pentesting, and the deployment of EDR/XDR/SOAR technologies) and nontechnical practices (user training, phishing campaigns, control/compliance audits, incident response, and risk management).As an advocate of continuing education, I am routinely upgrading my skillset by earning professional certifications and participating in CTFs. During my time as Treasurer and Vice President of the UAA Cybersecurity club, I competed in a variety of national cyber-focused CTF tournaments, including the Collegiate Cyber Defense Competition (CCDC) and the National Collegiate Cyber Defense Competition (NCCDC). In 2019, my team and I represented the University of Alaska Anchorage (UAA) as we won first during both the qualifier and regional competition. We then competed in nationals in Orlando, Florida (hosted by Raytheon Technologies). We ultimately won 4th place among the top 10 universities in the nation and the initial 230 competing universities.I am also a graduate of UAA's Honors College and its conventional Bachelor of Science (BS), Computer Science (CS) program with a concentration in Cybersecurity and two completed minors in both Mathematics and Computer Systems Engineering.
