Robert A. Ferguson, was born in Castro Valley Ca attending both public and private schools graduating from Bonita Vista High in San Diego California. Mr. Ferguson then pursued his collage education at San Francisco State University before venturing out and creating what is said to be one of the greatest upcoming organizations to the community. Mr. Ferguson’s vision with the continuing economic spiral and the rising costs associated with youth activities is to provide young children and teens with activities and sustainable programming for free or at an affordable price through out the United States. He has dedicated the past years of his life to making that a reality, helping those with less fortune to have equal opportunities as others (thus his company Rob Skate Academy focuses on). Mr. Ferguson now is a lead Olympic skateboarding trainer, creator of countless public youth and family events, is active and passionate to all and is a great role model in this society.

We aim to address the underlying causes of misbehavior, dropouts, the growing achievement gap of inner city youth and youth violence in a preventive manner by providing them with a safe place to build character and heal by letting go of the baggage and trauma that they carry. We focus on building character and transforming lives of young people, which gives them permission to live more alive and free. Since the birth of skateboarding, it has been one of the only social sports that's mainstream (now in the Olympics) and seen as an outlet for freedom and openly expressing oneself. Skateboarding fosters a community of compassion and motivation regardless of gender, ethnicity, income or any demographic. And our goal is to share the incredible gift that is skateboarding with as many youth as possible.

Program DirectorThe Ever Forward Club Jan 2020 - PresentEver Forward Club is a non-profit organization based in the East Bay, which fosters safe environments (via workshops and clubs) for youth to receive emotional support among peers and mentors. Created by Ashanti Branch, a former OUSD teacher, with the vision to assist male youth in graduating, through reinforcing their emotional tool box and dedicated mentorship. For over more than a decade, we have offered "Taking Off the Mask" workshops and established clubs in middle and high schools throughout the nation.Our workshops are designed for students who: are chronically tardy or absent from school, are disruptive while in the classroom, and are disengaged from core academic course work, as these youth are more than likely to drop out of school. Male youth in particular, often do not have spaces for emotional development and identity exploration.
