Traveling western Wisconsin and writing news and feature articles on dairy producers and others in the industry.

Attended and wrote about dairy industry meetings, seminars and workshops, as well as many other phases of agriculture. Interviewed many farmers, ag business people, scientists and industry leaders. Wrote feature articles, along with articles on current agricultural and dairy events, such as farm bill scenarios, milk prices, dairy exports, grazing, cattle management, new tools and new techniques, organics, nutrient management, robotics, and bioenergy. Supplied photographs, helped edit submitted copy and wrote headlines. Organized much of my own travel and formulated much of my own work schedule. Always willing to get out on the road and see what interesting news lies around the next bend.

Wrote feature articles and "think" pieces for the Case IH custom-published magazine Farm Forum, that went to current and prospective Case IH farm machinery customers in the U.S. Handled the same duties for the north-of-the-border version, Canadian Farming. Traveled the U.S. and Canada, meeting with farmers and Case IH equipment dealers, supplying words, photographs, ideas and goodwill. Also edited Materials Handling Solutions, custom published for Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, interviewing businesses that chose Mitsubishi fork lift trucks for their materials handling needs. Example, O'Reilly Auto Parts distribution center at Dallas, Texas. Assisted with editing, layout and design of those three publications.
