Ryan Chen is a Data Scientist at Kikoff. Colleagues describe him as "To anyone who is considering Ryan as a potential addition to their team, I can say without a shred of doubt that he is more than worth the attention. Ryan was literally the turning point in one of our Accounting and Finance department’s most important projects to date. While undergoing a rigorous and tight deadline for ASC 605 data migration and ASC 606 implementation, our team had struggled to keep on track with the deadline. However, we were fortunate to have Ryan join our team. It was Ryan’s enthusiasm and ability to learn Excel as well as Oracle and RevSym that enabled our team to do analysis on deferred revenue migration data sets to find potential problems and resolve issues in a timely manner. He learned Excel to the point that he exceeded everyone’s expectations by learning how to prepare complicated analysis files including basic to advanced formulas for waterfall schedules and reconciliations with speed and accuracy that was critical in meeting our tight deadline. By taking so much responsibility in this project, he enabled myself and others on the team to focus on other parts of the data migration project and other ERP system implementation projects in the company. It’s no exaggeration to say that he was not just an “intern” during his time at Infoblox, but he was just as much a part of our daily Revenue team as anyone else was.
