I recently retired from civil service on 1 October 2014 and have started a second career as a Financial Management (FM) instructor and consultant. My work experience includes over 30 years of DoD FM experience mostly as a supervisor/manager either performing or managing a wide range of Defense Working Capital Fund FM disciplines including accounting and finance, budgeting, cash management, financial reporting, customer billing, management analysis and cost analysis. Tours of duty include my initial two years working at Wurtsmith AFB, Michigan as a Management Analyst from 1981-1983, followed by six years working on the Air Staff (HQ Air Force) as a Supervisory Cost Analyst from 1984-1989, and then finally my last twenty five years working for the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) at Scott AFB, Illinois as a Senior Financial Manager/Resource Manager.
