Over 25 years of experience in leading and managing all aspects of the construction operations in commercial, industrial, and heavy-civil construction projects including treatment plants, high-rise condominiums, multi-family housing, cultural, and correctional institutions. Proven ability to lead the business operations in multiple demographic locations where all the projects are delivered in a true collaborative environment with a “builder focused” delivery with his teammates. Shawn prides himself in delivering his projects safely, on time, under budget, and with a high level of focus on quality and client satisfaction. Shawn has delivered over $2 billion worth of projects.Currently, Shawn is the Vice President of Operations for McCauley Constructors where they are focused in providing their Clients with premier design-build construction services. With safety first and strong customer advocacy, our aim is to stand out as a true collaborator, turning visions into reality is what we do.CAREER HIGHLIGHTS • Organized, led, and created a partnership approach on a design-bid-build project for the Orange County Water District’s 30 MGD expansion of the Groundwater replenishment project which resulted in the project being awarded the 2015 WEF Project of the year.• Acquired a struggling project that was 6-8 months behind schedule with adversarial relationships between multiple parties and created a trusting and collaborative relationship with the owner which led to the project being put back on schedule and budget.• Was awarded the 2004 Excellence in Safety and the Planner of the Year Award from McCarthy Building Companies where the business unit I was leading performed over 1 million manhours without a recordable accident.• As VP of Operations, led a strategic initiative team which successfully developed a dashboard and streamlined production management tracking metrics resulting in an increase of overall self-perform margins by 3-5% in a period of 18 months.• Facilitated and lead a team that successfully enhanced the companies start-up, testing, and commissioning protocol which lead to a streamlined commissioning success on all business unit projects.• Actively participated in local trade organizations and associations which developed strong community relationships and strengthen the company local presence.• Selected and recognized as one of ENR’s Top 20 under 40 in January of 2013.
