About Simon Vorley
I am passionate about sustainable development and innovating for change. I've led teams in East Africa, Central America and South Asia. My vision is to make sure other people can benefit from the opportunities and privileges I have, no matter their background. International development - Extensive management of operations and projects focused on community development, youth leadership, WASH and enterprise creation. Always working in partnership, in rural and remote areas with indigenous groups, cooperatives and local government. Safeguarding - I focus on culture not simply compliance. We have a long way to go to improve standards in the aid and development sector. My passion is for holistic, collaborative dialogue and a context driven approach. My experience includes facilitation of MOOCs, collaboration with partners and organisational change. Travel and adventures - This is how my career began. Whilst there are important questions about how ethical and environmentally friendly these activities are, I strongly value the skills that leading expeditions taught me. An excellent foundation of teamwork, problem solving and resilience.
