I have worked in the rebar industry for 10+ years. I started my career in 2007 as a detailer/project coordinator by creating placing drawings for reinforced concrete. After several years, I transitioned into solely project coordinating and managed the detailing aspect of 15-20 projects during any given rolling time period. Coordinating a several projects, comes a great deal of organization and constant communication between all departmental areas, including immediate management, project management, production, and sometimes sales. Communication is also extended from the customer to the detailing team where I act as a liaison between both. Project coordination encompasses the meaning of teamwork. Not only is it important to stay organized and communicate effectively, being a team player is vital to project success. As a child, it was my dream to be a drafter. At the start of my career, I earned an AS degree in architectural drafting, as well as three related certifications. I enjoyed drafting and I enjoy working as a project coordinator because of the relationships that I've built between the detailing teams as well as customers, internal and external. I know that I am trusted to get the job done efficiently. Because of the leadership that I am able to provide to those associated on any given project, I found that I wanted to pursue more educationally. In 2018, I began classes for management leadership. Working full time and also being a mother of 3, in 2020, I earned a bachelor's degree in business management with a concentration in leadership. Not only is project success one of my goals, another goal of mine is to create a positive working experience with those I interact with.
