Thomas P. Boylan is a partner in the firm’s Chicago office. He has been a member of the firm’s Executive Committee for the past ten years. Mr. Boylan has been awarded an AV Preeminent Peer Review Rating from Martindale-Hubbell reflecting its highest rank based on legal ability and ethical standards.The primary focus of Mr. Boylan’s practice is construction litigation and he chairs the firm's Construction Practice Group. Mr. Boylan is regularly engaged by contractors, developers and design professionals in litigated matters. Mr. Boylan’s experience covers a broad spectrum of construction-related disputes, including personal injury and wrongful death, construction defect and property damage, disputes between contractors and owners, and mechanic’s liens. Mr. Boylan is also skilled in insurance and indemnification issues, the resolution of which are often at the core of construction litigation. He frequently counsels contractors on risk transfer, additional insured issues and risk avoidance. Mr. Boylan counts the largest general contractors in Illinois among his clients. He has been selected as a Super Lawyer annually since 2006 in the field of construction litigation, and he has also been selected as a Leading Lawyer each year since 2012 in construction law and products liability defense.Mr. Boylan was named by corporate counsel to the 2014 BTI Client Service All-Stars for his dedication to client service excellence - the only independently researched, client-driven ranking of attorneys.
