Chief Operating And Finance Officer
Chicago
NPH USA is the US-based fundraising organization which supports the $35M annual operating budget of NPH International - a non-profit organization dedicated to serving disadvantaged children in Central America and the Caribbean. I joined the organization at a time when they were without a President / CEO and needed someone to stabilize the organization while the Board searched for someone with a fundraising background to fill the President's role.I have direct management responsibility for the organization's US operations including Finance, IT, HR, Logistics and Sponsorship Fulfillment - basically everything other than Fundraising itself. Managing these areas requires the direct supervision of approximately 25 employees. As the COO / CFO, my primary responsibilities are to implement processes to 1) assure efficient and accurate projections of cash flow, 2) assess regional office fundraising performance, 3) maintain service levels for customer fulfillment, 4) develop and maintain programs to motivate our workforce, and 5) manage our facilities and fleet across the US.Although it is not officially part of my responsibilities as COO / CFO of NPH USA, I spend a significant amount of time in Central America working with the Executive Director of NPH International as a consultant to implement the same type of operational and financial tracking processes that I have implemented here in the US.I report directly to the President / CEO as well as to the NPH USA Board of Directors.
