He brings more than 30 years of technology leadership and loyalty experience in retail, online and gaming organizations. Throughout his career, Tom has been responsible for the restructuring of underperforming technology organizations in domestic and international retail organizations. He is a forerunner in cross-platform loyalty application development and has successfully implemented vendor agnostic consumer marketing capabilities in retail, gaming, and healthcare industries. Tom was the CIO for a number of retail organizations including Penn National Gaming, Hot Topic Stores, Limited Stores, Footlocker, and Thrifty Drug Store. He holds a Bachelor degree from the University of Redlands and an MBA from the University of California, Fullerton.

During his tenure, total revenue increased by 26% and corporate technology expenses decreased by 21%, creating sufficient value to buy property in Las Vegas and entice loyal customers.

As the first CIO at Hot Topic, a mall and web-based specialty retailer, he restructured the IT organization to enable store growth of 48% (565 stores to 836 stores) over five years, and increased online revenues from under 5% to over 25% of total revenue. Responsible for the development and operations of a 300,000 square foot distribution center in Nashville serving both store and online channels.
