Founded and directed the Program whose mission was to protect and restore the aquatic biodiversity in the rivers and streams of the Cumberland, Mobile and Tennessee River Basins. Some highlights include:•Oversaw early implementation of low impact development and green infrastructure strategies, •Led and directed the Innovative use of State Revolving Funds for green infrastructure projects,•Designed and implemented the Southern Rivers Support Fund, •Developed creative strategies for changing dam operations,•Led and directed strategies and programs that focused on climate adaptation and the water/energy/climate nexus,•Secured significant funds from a range of foundations, businesses and individuals (nearly $8 million raised)•Created and directed Innovative projects and partnerships with businesses, non-profit organizations and governments, and•Established projects that integrated religion and conservation. The Cumberland River Compact is a non-profit organization working in all 14 watersheds of the Cumberland River. In my role as founding Co-Director I worked with the board in drafting the mission statement, developing committees and assisting the board in determining policies.I also successfully raise funding to convene and facilitate community watershed meetings that resulted in the formation of the Harpeth River Watershed Association. Clients included: DuPont Corporation, National Science Foundation, State of Tennessee, US Fish and Wildlife Service and Vanderbilt University. As part of a small video production company, I was responsible for sales and marketing as well as producing, directing and writing.
