Managed the short and long range training programs for over 150 cadets and cadre at Iowa State University’s Reserve Officer Corps (ROTC). Planned, resourced and executed numerous training events to ensure that training objectives were met. Special Projects Coordinator responsible for developing and executing action plans involving multiple stakeholders.  Developed short and long range training plans that resulted in the organization being recognized as the top program out of 43 programs across the Midwest for three consecutive years. Planned, coordinated and led the Cultural Language and Understanding Program mission to Bulgaria; planned, resourced and executed training for five separate teams in Bulgaria. Directed all mission related tasks between team leaders, the United States Embassy and the Bulgarian Armed Forces.  While focusing on performance improvement, instituted a training and selection program for United States Army schools that resulted in a 100% pass rate. Supervised and approved all organizational expenditures, ensuring that all expenditures were within guidelines and under budget.

Trained and mentored Afghan National Army officers on kinetic and non-kinetic operations. Developed short and long range training plans to further develop the Afghan National Army. Oversaw the Commander’s Emergency Relief Program (CERP) in Zabul Province. Developed and executed a Village Assessment (VA) program to determine priority levels for humanitarian assistance needs. Implemented a provincial targeting and operations planning meeting to ensure that operations were synchronized between multiple agencies. Assisted with the development of plans for facility improvements on Forward Operating Base Apache.  Planned, resourced, and prioritized over 50 Village Assessments for the Province. Developed, executed and supervised over 65 humanitarian assistance projects, resulting in over six million dollars of assistance being incorporated into the local economy. Commended by senior management for program management success in placing wells, roads, and bridges at locations of the greatest need.  Supervised and executed agricultural development of rural farmers through coordination with the Provincial Reconstruction Team (PRT), use of Agricultural Development Teams, and the distribution of over 125 tons of wheat seed.

Supervised the training and education of newly commissioned Second Lieutenants (2LT) at the Field Artillery Basic Officers’ Leader Course. Managed and instructed three platoons of 50 2LTs on all aspects of kinetic and non-kinetic operations. Assisted in developing new periods of instruction to ensure that information taught included emerging doctrine. Reviewed and updated standard operating procedures for the detachment. Developed and taught twenty college level classes to junior level professionals, resulting in three distinguished honor graduates. Assisted in the integration of experiential learning model methodology into new Periods of Instruction (POI) for the Artillery Officer Basic Course.

Managed a 100-Soldier organization charged with providing support to the United States Army Field Artillery School that included supply chain management, artillery fires, and human resources.  Developed organizational training plans to ensure that all operational support requirements were met in a timely manner.  Organization earned the annual organizational High Honors for technical proficiency twice (Top Gun and Top Fire Direction Center). Conducted reviews of standard operating procedures and implemented several changes that facilitated process improvement and efficiency.

Directed and managed a staff of two executives, three mid-level executives, and more than ten technicians supporting an operational headquarters with four direct reporting units consisting of more than 450 personnel and more than 100 vehicles and associated equipment with an annual budget in excess of $1,000,000. • Developed and monitored the implementation of programs, plans, operations and training to effectively manage the budget, training, transportation, and maintenance of the organization. • Commended for rewriting and implementing new Tactical Standard Operating Procedures (TACSOP) that ensured all organizations operated more effectively. • Supervised the dissemination of organizational training guidance for all assigned units. Managed the short and long term training calendar and resourced all training events.

Planned, executed, and managed the training, development, and welfare of 80 Soldiers. Developed and executed training plans to ensure that training objectives were met. Conducted process reviews that enabled performance improvement. Supervised airborne operations.  Planned and directed the inspection, maintenance, and transportation of over 200 vehicles; Developed and implemented a new process, cutting the estimated costs by 10 percent. Planned, resourced, and supervised remote operations under extreme cold weather conditions. Commended by numerous Senior-Level Executives for superior performance of organization’s operations.
