I led a team which provided internal operational tooling for AWS Elastic File System. Tools included a custom monitor and dashboard manager, an operational portal, various command line tools, job orchestration hosts, an availability data manager, and runbooks as code.When I joined the team, it had been under delivering on its commitments, with a poor planning and work tracking process, an unclear direction, and severe operational workload. I developed a set of working processes and technical vision which drastically improved the oncall burden and increased team velocity.My project work mainly included improvements to usability and functionality of my team's tools and migrations away from legacy internal Amazon and external tools to more secure, scalable ones.

Set up the infrastructure for engineering development and operations and defined the workflows for using it. Performed numerous tool evaluations. Toolset included GitHub Enterprise, Jenkins 2, Docker, AWS CloudFormation, Artifactory, DataDog, New Relic, Logz.io, SonarQube. Migrated existing teams/applications to CI/CD.
