Developed software for the Guidance subsystem of Flight Management Systems for Airbus A3XX jets. With a master guidance engineer, re-engineered the aircraft's vertical flight path for fuel savings and comfort. Most commercial fliers have flown with my software onboard. • Developed embedded code & UNIX software to automatically validate target test bed, including discrete IOs & A/D converters -- requiring virtually no maintenance, cost-saving design was adopted by multiple program teams.
• Championed UNIX-based simulated test bed using IPC, semaphores & shared message queues -- successful completion resulted in vast cost savings plus multiple contracts for verifying ballistics computations.

• Promoted twice within 18 months.
• Developed embedded C and Windows C++ applications for the monitor and control of satellite telecommunications equipment.
• Upgraded embedded C application to add watchdog timer and remote code loading capability over RS485/RS422/RS232 using both the XModem and a self-made file downloading protocol.
• Oversaw all aspects of the Network Management System product line, including software and system specification, design, development, installation, training, documentation, management of subcontractors, customer.

• Developed government-fielded man-machine interface/GUI in Ada for SUN, using Software Through Pictures for UML.
• Created low-level MC68xxx software in C for soldier-carried embedded cell phone/radio/GPS device.
• Coded display and GPS coordinate conversion routines in C for MC68xxx-based GPS/laser-ranging scope, an IRAD project with a fast-paced startup to delivery time of slightly over three months.
• Made serial interface and display routines for a Personal Digital Assistant.
• Gained expertise in creating interrupt handlers and reverse engineering them from assembly code.

• Developed low-level embedded Ada software for Intel x86 processors to control hardware BIT, UARTs, and a timer clock peripheral of a Flight Management System.
• Generated high-level embedded Ada software display routines for Flight Management System and Control-Display Unit.
• Generated assembly code on Intel 8051 for transient power generator.
• Modified and debugged embedded Ada code to conduct SATCOM login sequence.
