In addition to my dispute resolution and courtroom practice, I advise companies on how to best leverage their technology to further their business needs. Whether this means obtaining a patent, trademark, or copyright, or simply navigating the best way through the legal landscape, I strive to help my clients' businesses grow.I represent clients in all aspects of their intellectual property protection and enforcement. I am registered to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office and assist my clients in the management of their intellectual property portfolio. My experience in patent matters predominantly concerns mechanical, electrical, and optical technologies. I also have extensive experience in patent, trademark, and copyright infringement.In addition, I represent clients in complex commercial disputes. I regularly counsel clients in the prosecution and defense of fraudulent transfer actions in state and federal court. In addition, I have extensive experience defending the officers and directors of companies from lawsuits involving corporate negligence, insider dealing, fraud, and other D&O matters.Prior to attending law school, I was a Peace Corps Volunteer in Ghana, West Africa. As a Peace Corps Volunteer, I taught high school math and science and served a consultant to the Ministry of Education in the implementation of a novel literacy program in the primary school system.
