Promoted from local to national role as VP of ESPN Audio, leading all business divisions for national audio and a team of 70 responsible for podcast content and radio/podcast advertising sales, distribution, marketing, and research. Drove $115M in revenue from 250+ national advertisers and 400+ distribution affiliates and reached 20% of Americans each week.SELECT ACCOMPLISHMENTS:► Aggressively expanded content distribution beyond radio/linear TV to digital streams, podcasts, ESPN+, and YouTube, effectively reaching a larger audience and overcoming a 12-year decline in radio listenership. ESPN Audio reached more Americans in 2022 than ever before and captured 55% of all digital sports audio listening.► Secured exclusive right to manage podcast ad sales and distribution for ABC/ABC News (previously with 3rd party); fiscal 2023 ad revenues will finish up +95% vs. 2022. ► Led national business through entirety of COVID pandemic, as all shows and staff shifted to producing and working remotely, live sports halted for months, and ad marketplace contracted significantly; despite pandemic, grew podcast ad revenues by 9% in 2020, 6% in 2021, and 21% in 2022.► Realigned ESPN Audio to support broader Disney reorganization, shifting ad sales and distribution teams to Disney units and podcast content team to ESPN Digital. ► Managed sale of ESPN’s local media operations in NY, LA, and Chicago in 2022 and led multi-month transition of businesses and teams to new owner.
