I am a total geek at heart and I thrive under pressure. I am always looking to better myself, my career, and my knowledge. I have been in the IT field since 2000 and have been incredibly happy with that decision ever since!Currently I am the Unified Communications Engineer at Crutchfield Corporation. This includes everything from Microsoft Exchange, Microsoft Skype for Business, Genesys PureConnect (VoIP Phone System), Microsoft Teams and Microsoft 365. Basically anything that has to do with audio, video or messaging communications I am the guy. However my responsibilities are not only limited to communications. I am also responsible for our current Azure environment as well as the subject matter expert in Cisco Server hardware.Most of my experience comes from a heavy Microsoft / Cisco environment with open source software and operating systems as well. My Cisco experience goes far beyond networking and into Cisco server hardware including but not limited to C series servers, B series blade servers, Cisco fabric interconnects and blade chassis. But I don't limit my networking to just Cisco because I also work with Kemp Virtual Load Masters, AdTran Session Boarder Controllers and Ubiquiti.I also have over 10 years of experience in Virtualization technologies such as Microsoft Hyper-V (2008 R2, 2012 R2, 2016, and 2019), VMWare, VirtualBox, and KVM. As with any tech buff I have learned the power of PowerShell and have been able to utilize it to create out of the box solutions for some common and complex problems. PowerShell is the way of management for the future and I feel that I am on the forefront of it. I have developed PowerShell scripts and modules to integrate with Exchange EWS, Genesys PureConnect, SolarWinds Orion, Kemp VLMs and other Hardware and Software that includes an API.My networking, Cisco and Microsoft experience helps to me to seamlessly integrate many different technologies and allow them work together. It also helps me to have a leg up because I can troubleshoot most problems from end to end.
