Summer of 2013 I spent six weeks teaching conversational English and American culture to a mix of Mongolian students and teachers in the capital city of Mongolia. Lesson planning, teaching, student interaction, and team interaction were components of daily life as well as adjusting to life in an Asian culture. For more information, I have enclosed a brief description of ELIC's Summer Teaching Program (STP).The Summer Teaching Program is an outstanding opportunity for new and seasoned educators to invest five rewarding weeks in the lives of fellow educators in China, Mongolia or Laos. Those whom we teach in this highly valued program are dedicated national teachers of English, usually at the primary, middle or secondary school level. They are required to receive periodic ongoing education credits and since 1985 ELIC has had the privilege of serving in this key role. The focus is in providing opportunities to practice and upgrade both English speaking skills and language teaching methodology.
