I am a Chartered Engineer, member of the Institution of Civil Engineers, a structural engineer and design manager. Since 2005 my experience in structural engineering has been varied, both as a design consultant for leading practices and on site during secondments to contractors.I have managed projects of varying size and value, from small scale residential to £50m commercial and arts projects. My technical experience also covers seismic design in highly active areas, structural glass design in innovative applications, and the use of alternative construction materials such as cross laminated timber (CLT) and rammed earth. Since 2014 my career has broadened into design management for the combined delivery of complex multidisciplinary projects. This involved management of multiple teams across the spectrum of building consultants to provide a holistic design solution for clients. In my current role as operations manager for RBG I am involved in the delivery management of structural and civil engineering projects, as well as commercial and quality management for the NZ business.
