As the Analysis Team Lead, I guided a twenty-member subteam of the Rocket Propulsion Lab (RPL) at USC through engineering analysis of our components. To do this, I coordinated with the Manufacturing and Structures Team Leads to ensure our analyses meet the requirements, capabilities, and schedules of the team. I also recorded instructional lectures, seminars, and office hours to teach the principles of analysis and of the ANSYS software platform that are now used as a regular training resource for the team. This provided experience communicating technical details to those who are not subject matter experts and to establishing clear documentation of engineering decisions for design reviews, process improvements, and anomaly investigations.

I investigated the effects of acoustic streaming induced by ultrasonic waves in biological media and tissue with a five-person team, considering potential applications in medical devices. We developed a new mathematical formulation for the propagation of a sound wave in viscous fluids. I created a MATLAB program that solved this equation over a fluid domain of 2 million cells in 90 seconds. The research lab is led by Dr. Anita Penkova, a Research Assistant Professor of Aerospace and Mechanical Engineering at USC.
